Birth Preparation Essentials

Feel prepared, supported and confident for birth - together

Preparing for birth can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure what to expect or what will actually help in the moment.

This 3-hour workshop is designed to give you and your partner the tools, understanding and confidence to approach birth feeling calm, prepared and supported.

You’ll learn how labour works, how to use breathing, movement and rest effectively, and how partners can play a key role throughout. Everything is practical, simple and focused on what truly makes a difference.

Welcome

Arrive, settle in, and take a breath. This is your space to slow down, connect, and feel prepared for what’s ahead.

Understanding Birth

We’ll strip away the noise and help you truly understand how labour works. What supports your body, what can hold it back, and how feeling safe and calm can completely change your experience. You’ll also learn how your partner becomes your biggest advantage, not just present, but actively supporting you.

Breath & Calm

Simple, powerful breathing techniques you can rely on when it matters most. You’ll practise them together so they feel natural, not something you’re trying to remember in the moment.

Move with Your Body

Labour isn’t something you lie through, it’s something you move through. We’ll show you how to work with your body to ease discomfort and help things progress, using positions and movements that feel instinctive and supportive. Your partner will learn exactly how to guide, support, and stay connected throughout.

Rest & Rhythm

Labour has a rhythm, effort and recovery. You’ll learn how to properly rest, reset, and conserve energy so you don’t just get through labour… you move through it with more control.

Practise Together

This is where it all comes together. You’ll experience guided “contractions” so you can practise breathing, movement, and support in real time, building confidence before the day arrives.

Your Birth Plan

Not a rigid checklist, a clear, calm plan. You’ll leave knowing what matters to you, how to communicate it, and how your partner can help protect that space.

Closing

Time to reflect, ask questions, and leave feeling more prepared, more connected, and more confident going into birth - together.

Duration: 3 Hours

Date: Sunday May 30th 2026 - 10:00 - 13:00pm
